14. Shocker's Death

When Logan Marshall Green was announced for the film and his character's name was withheld, it was pretty widely assumed that he must be paying a big role.

Subsequently, trailers revealed his Shocker-inspired look and we all pretty much accepted that he was playing one half of a Shocker double-bill with Bokeem Woodbine. Nobody questioned why we'd actually need two Shockers, and the reason proved to be pretty shocking.

Despite Marvel's apparent reluctance to kill off characters, Green's Jackson Brice ends up being accidentally killed off by Adrian Toomes for a gag - easily the most casual (and shocking) use of death in the entire MCU.
