Spider-Man: Homecoming Better Have This Awesome Orchestral Score
Michael Giacchino spins his own take on the 1960s classic.
Spider-Man: Homecoming composer Michael Giacchino has treated fans to a sneak peek at his orchestral take on the theme tune from the 1960s Spidey cartoon.
The Oscar-winner previewed the composition in a 30-second video clip posted on Twitter, but is yet to confirm whether it will actually be used in the movie.
Giacchino and his orchestra really nail the classic theme tune, so let's hope it finds its way into the hotly-anticipated Homecoming when it lands this summer.
Previous Spider-Man directors such as Sam Raimi have used the theme to earn brownie points with fans and nostalgia buffs, but only in closing credits.
Homecoming is the first solo Spider-Man movie since Marvel Studios reclaimed the rights the web-slinging superhero, although he made his MCU debut in last year's Captain America: Civil War, in which he was firmly Team Stark.
Tom Holland will reprise his role as Spidey, while Michael Keaton will portray the villainous Vulture - which is appropriate given that he has prior Birdman experience.
The supporting cast includes Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark.
Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into cinemas on 7 July.
