Spider-Man: Homecoming - Every Character Ranked Worst To Best

How does the new Spidey cast hold up?

Spider-Man: Homecoming has a remarkably big cast, not only in terms of numbers but also in respect of their talents. Despite having to balance the massive profiles of Robert Downey Jr and Michael Keaton with a hugely gifted young cast (including the excellent Tom Holland), the film somehow finds space for names as recognisable as Jennifer Connelly, Hannibal Buress, Tyne Daly and Michael Mando.

That some of those names - and Bokeem Woodbine and Martin Starr - are given little more than a few lines says everything you need to know about Marvel's pulling power and how much they invested in making this movie work.

Obviously with casts this big there's an element of balance that comes into play, and some characters are unfortunately pushed to the side-lines. In some cases, brevity doesn't limit their impact too much, but some could probably have done with more focus. And of course, with new versions of old and established characters introduced, it's interesting to see how well they delivered.
