The colours have been inverted, and the face mask might be more homemade, but when Spider-Man debuts his homemade costume after Tony Stark takes his Stark-suit privileges away, it's definitely based quite heavily on Ben Reilly's Scarlet Spider costume.

It's more street and more casual, with more concern for warmth than flexibility by the look of it. Even the chunkier home-made web-shooters look like they're included as a reference to Reilly's wrist bands.
