15. Vulture Attacks At Home

The story of the film is clearly that Peter's interference with Vulture's gang's heists brings the attention of Vulture and brings the supervillain into Peter's world. That's why he invades the neighbourhood and plucks Spidey out of the air in what looks like a cosy corner of suburbia.

There's very much a sense that the early appearances of Toomes in full Vulture mode will be presented in the same sort of way as if he was the star of a monster movie. To reinforce that, we get a chilling look at his shiny green eyes.
