7. Electro References Miles Morales

After Electro is subdued by his Spider-Man, the two have a heart-to-heart where Spidey removes his mask and Electro amusingly confesses that he thought his Spider-Man was Black, given all the good he's done in the local neighbourhoods.

Electro's hope for a Black Spider-Man is very clearly nodding to Miles Morales, who to be clear doesn't appear in the film in any way, shape, or form.

That said, Spider-Man: Homecoming did basically confirm Morales' existence in the MCU, what with his uncle Aaron Davis (Donald Glover) calling up his nephew on the phone, and in a deleted scene even directly referring to him as Miles.

While Miles joining the MCU in earnest one day feels inevitable, we're probably a little while off yet.
