5. Willem Dafoe Almost Steals The Show

Take a bow, Willem Dafoe, you absolute madman.

The legendary actor reprises the role of Norman Osborn aka Green Goblin in the film, and rather than return to the part for a quick and easy paycheck, Dafoe commits full-heartedly to this revised take on the character.

In both Osborn's more tender, tortured scenes and his hammy, full-on villainy, Dafoe is an absolute delight, proving once again why his performance in the original Sam Raimi Spider-Man remains one of the most iconic and entertaining in superhero movie history.

Moreover, despite being two decades older, Dafoe still represents a major physical threat, offering up a thoroughly entertaining - and terrifying! - victory lap for a beloved comic book movie villain.
