Spider-Man Spin-Off Movie Kraven The Hunter Finds Director
Is anyone excited for a Kraven movie?
Part of its ever-growing Spider-Man Marvel universe, Sony has been tinkering away with a Kraven the Hunter spin-off movie for a while now. Though there's been little word since its reveal, following the success of Venom and the completion of Morbius the Living Vampire, the studio is finally turning its attention fully to this next project.
According to Deadline, Sony is in negotiations with J.C. Chandor (Triple Frontier, A Most Violent Year) to direct the flick, from a screenplay written by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Morbius, Men In Black: International).
There were no further updates on casting or plot, but it's likely Sony will be looking to turn Kraven into more of an anti-hero than a straight villain, judging by how it's treated the other Spider-Man spin-offs so far.
With Olivia Wilde's female-centric Marvel flick building steam and now this, expect to hear more from Sony's expanding superhero plate in the coming months.
