Michael Keaton's Vulture quickly became one of the most popular villains in all Spider-Man movies - and even in the MCU - thanks in large part to the actor's performance and the new dynamic that positioned him as Peter's girlfriend's father.

And he looked the part too, with a miltary-infused costume that very much drew on the comics without being too overt and removing most of the more goofy animal elements.

But as Josh Nizzi's concept art reveals, there was some consideration to make him look a LITTLE more like the comics character...

The concept artists also clearly played with the idea of his armour being more like an actual bird at one point too...

Since release, this gorgeous image has also appeared, showing a different look for the villain, though it seems more like a scene conception than an accurate design reflection. Still looks great, though...

On top of Vulture, there was also an early design for Shocker done by Andrew Leung that seems to have played with the idea of him wearing the quilted costume from the comics...
