Spider-Man: Homecoming Casts The Nice Guys' Angourie Rice
She joins the cast...and stuff.
Another actor has been caught in Spider-Man: Homecoming's web, with Angourie Rice the latest name to be added to the ever-increasing cast list.
The Hollywood Reporter broke the story, and report that her role is being kept under wraps for now. However, given that she's 15-years-old, it seems highly likely that she'll be going to high-school with Tom Holland's Peter Parker.
Rice had her breakout performance earlier this year in Shane Black's brilliant comedy The Nice Guys, and despite being in the company of Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe she gave a memorable performance as Holly, daughter of Gosling's Holland March.
She joins a cast that is becoming not only seriously populated, but also very talented, with Holland in the lead role and the film also featuring Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr., Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Martin Starr, Hannibal Buress, Tony Revolori, Bokeem Woodbine, and Logan Marshall-Green.
Jon Watts (Cop Car) is directing, with a script from John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (Horrible Bosses, Vacation).
Spider-Man: Homecoming is scheduled for release July 7, 2017.
