The most annoying couple in Star Trek continued their relationship in Into Darkness, and they gave us more moments to roll our eyes at. Who didnt love the petty bickering as they went on a dangerous mission in Klingon space? Lucky for them that the Nu-Klingons are so inept. Or nonsense like Uhura beaming down to stop Spock from punching Khan to death because she is his girlfriend; totally ignoring that an armed security team would have been a better choice. It doesnt make any sense why these two are together and it adds nothing of merit to the movies. The only reason the unlikely paring was dreamt up was because it was a way to make the audience do a double take. And now that Uhura has been sexed up, she had to have a boyfriend because that is what all girls want. Like a Z-list couple that court press attention, these two will continue to hog screen time with their domestic bliss/problems (depending what that moment in the script requires) and will add to the problems that Star Trek 3 will have.
