Star Wars: 10 Reasons Yoda Shouldn't Get His Own Spin-Off

9. Like That, Will He Talk, For The Entire Film?

Funny vocal performances can be great in small doses, and Yoda€™s unique dialect was undoubtedly another key component of his appeal in Empire and Jedi. But seriously, a whole film of object-subject-verb word order is going to get mightily annoying after five minutes, let alone the likely two hour running time. In the current Star Wars films no-one has picked him up on it, which implies it€™s something common to his race/planet that you just don't mention. That leaves open the prospect of a whole world of this dialect, something that would get an Anakin/Vader "Nooooooooo" from most of us, surely? Unless, of course, the film is a searing King's Speech style drama about the trauma that caused him to speak that way in the first place? Only with lasers.
