Star Wars: 10 Reasons Yoda Shouldn't Get His Own Spin-Off

By Tim Colman /

4. Badass Yoda Has Already Been Done (Twice!)

I€™ll admit that the moment in Attack of the Clones, where Yoda limps on screen and then proceeds to ping around like Sonic the Hedgehog on speed, fighting Count Dooku, has a certain comical and surprising charm. His subsequent fight with The Emperor in Sith is good €“ but lacks the punch and originality. Basically, we know he€™s a badass with the Force and a lightsaber. So there seems little point in treading over the same ground in his younger years. He€™ll either be a great warrior, which we€™ve seen before, or he€™ll be a learner €“ and I€™m not sure I can stomach a Rocky (or Team America) style montage where he gets a bit better with his skills over an extended period of time. With Sy Snootles and Max Rebo doing the music. Been there, done that, something new please.
