9. The Vaunted Jedi Of The Old Republic

A spiritual and academic organization in the Star Wars universe that dates back to at least 10,000 years before the destruction of the first Death Star, the Jedi were the "white knights" of the Old Republic, the keepers of peace for thousands of years. While Episodes I, II and III gave you a glimpse of the Jedi while they were at the height of their powers, it was short lived. Instead, envision a time where the Jedi Order flourishes. Where the guardians of right were revered and called upon to spread peace throughout the galaxy. Their power must have been impressive to bear witness to. And so a stand alone film or films should chronicle the lives and adventures of various Jedi through history. Go back to the very beginning and see the Jedi at their very birth. Who was the first? How did the Jedi ultimately decide on the fundamental beliefs of their ways? Their core beliefs are strong yet there must have been major conflict in establishing their rules along with their entire order. And seriously, how did they come up with lightsabers?? Watching the discovery of their immense powers, the path that the Jedi followed and, yes, the divergent course that many took towards the dark side would be mesmerising.
