Star Wars: 10 Spin-Offs We'd Actually Like To See

2. The Jedi Purge/Obi-Wan's Second To Last Round-Up

I€™m biased on this one: Obi-Wan is my favorite Star Wars character. His story arc is €“ for me, anyway €“ the most satisfying in the existing movies. He€™s a truly decent person who can€™t live up to his good intentions. There€™s something very noble €“ and tragic €“ about that. Obi-Wan saying "I have failed you...€ to Anakin during their final duel in Revenge Of Sith still gets me every time. There are more obvious choices for spin-off films (like the two we're officially getting), but there's no other Star Wars film I€™d rather see than one where Obi-Wan and Darth Vader suffer for their mistakes. Call me a glutton for punishment, but I want some filmmaker to stick the emotional knife in and twist it. I want Vader to be a menacing, remorseless killer again. I want an Obi-Wan that€™s truly in danger of becoming a crazy old man on Tatooine. We all know Vader conducts the Jedi Purge between the two trilogies €“ but does Obi-Wan ever leave Tatooine? I€™d love to see Obi-Wan save a few Jedi from Vader's grip, giving him one last little victory before he waits for his inevitable end. The two characters shouldn€™t meet in person between Revenge Of The Sith and and A New Hope... but they could come close to it. It's a story with a lot potential, one that wouldn't take anything away from A New Hope.
