50. Hello (The Empire Strikes Back)

“Hello, what have we here?”

And we thought Han Solo was cool. The introduction of Lando Calrissian instantly marks him out as one of the smoothest rogues in the entire galaxy.

He starts off threatening, then pally before his flirtation with Leia, all while surrounded by the clouds of the city he runs, a gorgeous location that's unlike any we'd seen before then.

With hindsight it pretty much the whole character up for everything else he does in Empire and Return, letting us know exactly who he is, and serves as one of the introductions most perfectly suited to its character.
