2. Who Gave Him His Scars?
Snoke’s first appearance in The Force Awakens had many speculating what the motives behind his madness were. All, even though his body has since taken further damage by, you know, being sliced in half by Kylo Ren in The Last Jedi, fans are still eager to find out who made him the fragile, albeit scary, creature that he was.
Andy Serkis recently said: “It is to do with previous battles. It's a sort of decay as well. He's quite an old character, and those battle scars are affecting his recovery and his body's started to break down as well.”
And this begs the question: Who gave them to him? Slipping in Snoke’s age only adds to the mystery. Quite an old character suggests that this was a man who was around to see the rise and fall of the Empire during the days Anakin Skywalker rose up to rule the galaxy. It is not, therefore, inconceivable to think his true identity is right under our noses.
Which begs the question. Who was it that left Snoke the crippled and angry figure we see him as? And are those actions the true reason for Snoke’s decision to turn Ben Solo and challenge the Republic and Resistance?
