Star Wars: 7 Things Revealed About Snoke Since The Last Jedi (And 3 That Need Answering)
1. Rey Nearly Used Snoke
In THAT throne room scene, it is a rare time where Daisy Ridley’s Rey genuinely comes under threat. For a long time, it looks as if Kylo will turn on her in favour of his master, with Snoke taking great glee in lecturing the Jakku scavenger and boasting to her that soon, her beloved Resistance will be shot down from the sky while she watches on.
Yet thanks to the Last Jedi novel, we now know that Rey actually considers using Snoke for knowledge and power of her own. We learn she explores the possibility of using the Supreme Leader to discover more information about her mysterious parents and why she was raised on a junkyard at Jakku rather than somewhere more befitting for a Jedi knight.
As we know, though, she thinks better off it. And it is then left to Kylo, after the brutal murder of his master, to drop the bombshell about her parents: They were mere drunks from Jakku who left her behind.
At least, that’s the line we have for now. It would not be entirely unexpected, though, if Star Wars takes us down another different path when Episode 9 hits screens in December 2019.
