Star Wars Episode 7: 10 Ways To Make It Great

By T.J. Barnard /

2. Lawrence Kasdan

Lawrence Kasdan wrote Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Empire Strikes Back. Is that enough of a reason why this guy needs to be involved? Luckily for us, Kasdan's inclusion isn't the sum of some wishful fanboy blogging - he's actually reported to have signed on to write Episodes VIII and IX. Though the very talented Michael Arndt is currently penning this entry in the saga, we feel that Kasdan should ultimately be involved at this stage, too, especially if he's been tasked with following it up. Perhaps in a creative consultant position, he's already working with Arndt, and that would certainly be great news. Kasdan knows Star Wars, after all, and was one of the best Hollywood screenwriters working in the '80s. Whatever's going on, Kasdan needs to be in the midst of things now: he did, after all, write the best Star Wars film of 'em all.
