11. It Goes Back To Jakku Or Tatooine
There have been a number of set photos across the movie's production showing filming on sandy terrain, and that was officially confirmed when J.J. Abrams posted the above picture of the three main heroes to mark the end of the shoot.
The question, then, is where exactly is it? The Star Wars universe isn't exactly short of desert planets, with Tatooine, Jakku, and Jedha all playing prominent roles in the movies, but the speculation coming after the image is that they do indeed go back to Jakku.
The landscape seen here does fit, to a degree, with the junkyard planet, and given that's where the new trilogy started then it there is a logic in them going back there. There's been further speculation that that's where the movie will end, although it would perhaps be even more fitting for things to wrap up on Tatooine, since it's the end of the entire Skywalker Saga. Just imagine the final scene of the movie is the saga's new heroes, joined by the Force Ghosts of old, looking out at the twin sunset of Tatooine as John Williams' score soars one last time.
