CGI (computer generated imagery) is going to be huge one day, apparently, and the latest Star Wars movieis set to pave the way in this regard. Rumour has it that an entire character has been created using just CGI, which is mind-blowing, I know. If anybody can make this possible, though, it's Lucas and his team at Industrial Light and Magic. As glimpsed by the changes that Lucas recently made to the original Star Wars trilogy for the VHS release, computer graphics have come a seriously long way: using them instead of using "real" objects will apparently become completely normal in the not-too-distant future, though we're not sure it's possible for CGI to get better than it is now. Whoever this mystery CG character turns out to be (and Lucas has marked him as a "comical" one - excellent!), one this is for sure: he or she will be sure to win a place in the hearts of Star Wars fans everywhere. Despite everything, why do I still have a "bad feeling about this"? Let us know in the comments section below.
