The blind spiritual ninja type, Chirrut Imwe is one of the most intriguing new characters in the film. He is very much a believer in the Jedi despite not being empowered himself, and it would seem he has developed a near spiritual fighting style to combat his blindness.

He's a warrior monk, and a massively valuable addition to the Rogue One team, considering he's shown in footage that he's able to knock out Stormtroopers using only blows with his hands.
