32. Saw Gerrera

To those who don't engage with the wider expanded Star Wars universe, Forest Whitaker's rebel leader Saw Gerrera seems like an entirely new creation for Rogue One, but he was in fact introduced in the TV series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, as voiced by Andrew Kishino.

In the show, Gerrera led the Onderon rebels to victory (at the cost of his sister's life, however), providing a lead-in to his continued resistance in Rogue One, which of course ends up with him being killed when Jedha is destroyed.
