9. Whoever Mads Mikkelsen Is Playing

Though there are several, admittedly awesome shots of Ben Mendelsohn in the new Rogue One teaser, which reveals the actor as a rather foreboding-looking Imperial villain with an amazing cape, there's nothing in the footage of Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen.

Lots of fans, myself included, initially assumed that Mikkelsen would play a large, villainous role in the sort of capacity that Mendelsohn can be seen featured in here; that's what he's renowned for, after all. 

Mikkelsen put those rumours to bed pretty soon after his casting in the movie was announced, though, with the actor outright stating that he wasn't set to play "a bad guy."

Disney have clearly left Mads out of the teaser on purpose, however, which suggests that either he's only going to appear in a small part, or that he's perhaps playing a character we're already familiar with and - quite rightly - the studio are keen not to spoil the surprise.
