Rebellion's are built on hope...and sacrifice.

With the December release of Star Wars: Rogue One quickly approaching, fans will once again pack theaters to meet a brand new batch of characters. While the prequel trilogy was full of well-known and established characters, Rogue One will be pregnant with brand new faces. Sure, fans will see some of the old band, but for the most part this will be a first time excursion for much of the cast.

And it's an excursion that could come to a quick ending for most.

The stealing of the Death Star plans has been a part of Star Wars lore since its inception, but the actual mission of acquiring said plans has only been imagined in the minds of countless fans.

We know many Bothan spies died to stealing the plans to the second Death Star; what about the crew for this first mission? Although we'll eventually find out the fate of this new crew soon, it doesn't make speculation any less entertaining on who's around by films end.

Let’s look at the fate of 10 characters from the upcoming film and why they'll live or die...

10. General Draven

Originally theorized to be the on screen version of a defected Agent Kallus from Star Wars: Rebels, General Draven is a new character. Director Gareth Edwards himself stated in October 2016 Draven is not a live action Kallus. Pity, as the depth of the Kallus character begins to expand further from his original introduction on the show.

With the trailers and TV spots revealed thus far, Draven doesn't appear to be present in any other location other than the Rebel base on Yavin 4. Making his debut as a specialist on protagonist Jyn Erso and her crimes, Draven reads her the riot act with everything she's done prior to the start of the film.

Fate: Lives

Draven will ultimately be a minor character within the context of this film; a figure mostly occupying space in the background. Granted, his character could take on a larger role off screen, but his presence will most likely be minimal. And given his apparent proximity on the forest moon, his location couldn't be any safer.
