With BB-8 and then K-2SO, the Disney-era of Star Wars has a great track record of introducing hilarious new droids to the galaxy, and L3-37 should continue that trend. Waller-Bridge might not be appearing as herself, but she did the mo-cap work and likely the voice, and she's an actress with great comic talents, meaning she'll be more than capable of bringing L3 to life. And then dying in tragic circumstances, sadly, unless she gets a new body and becomes Lobot.
