Star Wars: The Force Awakens – 10 Major Plot Clues From The New Trailers

5. Poe Is A Leader Of The Resistance

It might only a brief sequence, but the international trailer offers the first real look at C3-PO with his new red arm (scavenged from an unfortunate TC-series protocol droid, as his other "new" parts have been in the past). He's seen in a small audience of important characters in a Rebel war room (probably on Yavin, though that's not confirmed yet), confirming he's still very much in the service of Leia. Interestingly, the same shot confirms that Poe Dameron has to be of a significant enough status himself to be included in top level Alliance meetings. He's not just a very skilled pilot, he's a leader, involved in mission debriefs with Princess Leia, which suggests his status is loftier than initially suspected. Perhaps he's replacing the initially planned Wedge Antilles? Though there's a shot of C3-PO finally, there's still no sign of R2D2 in active operation. Aside from the emotionally provocative shot of the little droid standing still with (presumably) Luke touching him, he's conspicuously absent, which sends all sorts of horrible warning signals.
