What the hell? This shot came out of nowhere. All of the footage Disney had shown before the Japanese trailer showed Rey pretty much just running around Jakku, avoiding explosions, and not really getting into much danger. And then this shot comes out of the blue, when Kylo Ren sticks his lightsaber right in Rey's face. She doesn't look quite as terrified as Finn, but she still looks pretty damn scared. Her life is suddenly hanging in the balance, resting squarely in the hands of a dark and clearly powerful villain. It's such a powerful shot, you kind of wish they'd held it back for the movie. But it's not hard to see why they did it, 'cause it's the kind of shot that will put butts in cinemas for weeks. It was so unexpected, it definitely made you want to keep watching that Japanese trailer over and over again.
