A look at the concept art for a key scene that sees the newly repainted TIE fighter - presumably belonging to, or hi-jacked by Finn - prone on Jakku after a poor landing.

The new design of black and red was confirmed by Hasbro's toy-line previously (what a surprise), but it's good to see the ship within the Star Wars world. And it's not just a lick of paint that's changed the iconic star ship: there's something more hefty about it, thanks to the heavy-duty tank-track like fringes next to the wings.
