3. Snoke Possesses Kylo Ren's Body
The Rumour: A strange but weirdly plausible theory stated that Snoke was training Kylo Ren in order to eventually transfer his consciousness into Kylo's body by way of the Force.
After all, Snoke is old, frail and deformed, and Kylo is a fit young man whose body Snoke could exploit to become an even more dangerous tyrant. Furthermore, Kylo's lack of mental resolve would make it harder for him to fend off Snoke's mental "invasion."
There is an Expanded Universe basis for what's called "essence transfer", so this isn't quite the crackpot theory it might seem at first.
The Truth: There's absolutely nothing to this. Snoke really was just training Kylo to stomp the Jedi out, and anything beyond that was clearly vastly overestimating Snoke's ambition, especially with how quickly he's been killed off.
