Unless you've been living in self-imposed exile on the ancient island of Ahch-To recently, you probably noticed that a new trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi arrived this week.
The first full trailer for Rian Johnson's upcoming Episode VIII, the new look at the movie sent the internet into a frenzy of hype, shock, confusion, and Porg-related madness.
While Johnson had initially warned fans away from the trailer - albeit just those who want to go in completely cold - the new tease is more about building hype, establishing tone, and actually misdirecting fans a fair bit rather than outright spoiling things.
Building on the first teaser from Star Wars Celebration, it shows us a little more of the uneasy dynamic between Luke Skywalker and Rey on Ahch-To, while also showcasing just how much this film belongs to the mirroring arcs of Rey and Kylo Ren.
Also, Porgs.
It's a hugely effective trailer, and one that is definitely worth watching again (and again and again), so densely packed is it with details, Easter eggs, and references that you might miss the first time around.
