13. Will It Setup The Other DCEU Films?

Suicide Squad takes place within the DC Extended Universe, with at least one major character (Batman) making an appearance, and another (Superman) already referenced during the trailers.

However, compared to the other films it is something of an outlier. There's no hero playing a major part here, and seemingly not a lot to connect it to the Justice League. So while DC are attempting to build their own shared universe, just how will the Squad fit in?

The most likely option is that it'll do some work with Batman, either in flashback or present, that helps set things up for his solo movie, but otherwise it's difficult to see how much it'll connect.
