1. SHE'S NOT JUST A PIECE OF MEAT
Did we really need to see Harley Quinn in her bra? Did it add anything other than a slightly distasteful edge? It's the kind of moment (like the bending over provocatively in the first trailer) that welcomes accusations of "failing" the character.
Yes, it might be argued that the sequence is a playful, politicised commentary on how fanboys "devour" Harley as if she's inviting it, but isn't objectifying in order to prove objectifying is wrong a little odd?
Hopefully, we won't see unnecessarily see any shoe-horned romances (even forced ones) in the film, because as much as sexuality has been part of the way Harley is typically talked about, but that doesn't mean it has to continue into the film. It's just a bit of a shame.
