El Diablo is a largely unknown quantity, but based on his awesome power set, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch for Ayer to think 'hey, we'd like to keep him around for the next flick'. At this point, that's probably the only thing keeping him alive in Schrödinger's Box. If David Ayer really wanted to stack up the body count, El Diablo's as good a choice as any. From the look of things, the little pyro is also one of the most powerful members on the team - his ability to cause large-scale flame-related disaster being nothing to scoff at. The most powerful characters usually have the biggest targets on their back - just ask Charles Xavier. Not that I'm comparing flame-boy El Diablo to the telepathic might of Professor X. But if Diablo isn't killed at some point, you can completely expect him to at least be benched eventually. All I'm saying is, don't get too attached, no matter how cool his face tattoos are.
