Could there be big news on the very near horizon for Suicide Squad? Conspiracy theorists who've kept a close eye on director David Ayer's Twitter account might suggest so...
The director posted (and swiftly deleted) a cryptic tweet yesterday seemingly pointing at an impending announcement: a series of dots and dashes seemingly spelling "tomorrow" and setting the speculation wheel turning...
The fact that he then deleted the tweet is all the more mysterious. Was the tease too easy? Was the thing it pointed towards cancelled? Who knows.
It would make sense that - in line with the announcement of the Suicide Squad soundtrack - the reveal could be the mysterious music video that we know Jared Leto shot as the Joker. The smart money would be on the Twenty One Pilots' song "Heathens", and the timing for that would make a lot of sense.
Or it could be a final (or international) trailer for the movie. The last might have come out in April, but that's a world of time away in movie marketing terms. So there's always a possibility.
