2. The Pacing Is Perfect

At a time where even animated movies don't necessarily clock in at less than two hours - looking at you, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse - nobody will be left complaining that this thing drags its feet for even a second.

At a tight 99 minutes, Mutant Mayhem hits the ground running and doesn't let up until the finish line.

It's a film that acutely understands the notion of "get in, do your thing, and get out," and while there are times where it might even feel a bit too frantic for its own good, it gets a lot of leeway for never sitting still for long.

That it manages to develop the Turtles as distinct enough characters while also onboarding new fans to a host of supporting players in such a brief runtime is a sure achievement, and serves as a welcome reminder that economy is one of the most underrated disciplines in modern filmmaking.
