Like a liquid-metal T-1000, Terminator 6's creative team continues to take shape as Deadpool's Tim Miller has been snapped up as director.

Production company Skydance quietly made the announcement when posting out invites for a 3D screening of Terminator 2, which included a sneaky footnote about a T6 talk involving Miller and James Cameron.

Miller made his directorial debut with Deadpool, which brought in a whopping $783.1 million at the box office on a $58 million budget and attracted glowing reviews.

After bowing out of the sequel, the filmmaker will have been sought after in Hollywood, and landing his services for Terminator 6 is quite the coup for Cameron.

Although T6 will be more nuanced than the balls-to-the-wall Deadpool, fans hoping for an R rating and a high body count might be in luck with Miller on board.
