7. John Connor Is No Longer The Target

One thing that became incredibly apparent during the first 30 seconds of the trailer was that the future leader of the resistance, John Connor, is not the target of the film's new Terminator. Instead, this new threat is intent on killing a completely unfamiliar character named Dani Ramos.

Though it's currently unknown why Dani has been targeted for termination, it's likely that it has something to do with what she is supposed to go on to do in the future - much like Sarah Connor was targeted in the original film because she would eventually give birth to John and John was subsequently targeted because of his role in the future war.

While it's possible that the Rev 9 is adopting an approach similar to the T-X in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and disposing of some of Connor's future lieutenants, Ramos is probably much more significant than that, given that she seems to be the sole target .

Of course, fans have been left wondering as to what Ramos is supposed to do in the future and, perhaps more importantly, what has happened to John Connor?
