Dark Fate's finale also owes quite a debt to T2, with the zero-gravity plane battle concluding by a dam, which is quickly evacuated by the labourers working there in almost exactly the same fashion as the steel mill from T2.

Though there are obvious differences - namely the means of transportation and the actual locations themselves - it's blatantly obvious that Dark Fate basically just tweaked T2's finale without that much thought.
