Best Ensemble Cast - The Hateful Eight

Every new Quentin Tarantino movie has now become something of a cinematic event, and The Hateful Eight is certainly no different. After first being announced in January 2014, Tarantino initially shelved plans to make the film following a much-publicized script leak before a well-received live reading changed the writer/director's mind. Whether you're a fan of his work or not, there is no denying that Tarantino knows how to get the best out of his actors. A straight-up Western mostly confined to a single location, the Hateful Eight is possibly the director's most dialogue-heavy work to date but still features plenty of the quotable lines, pitch-black humor and bloody violence we've all come to expect. Previous Tarantino collaborators Samuel L Jackson, Kurt Russell, Walton Goggins, Tim Roth and Michael Madsen are all ably supported by newcomers Jennifer Jason Leigh, Bruce Dern and Demian Bichir as the titular eight, with the end result being a superbly-acted piece of genre cinema.
