Maybe I'm crazy for this one, but I was a huge fan of Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles and though Dekker did a wonderful job as a young John Connor. He had just the right amount of the necessary elements of angst, confusion, fear, and strength. He's a good looking chap and has a comparable look to Andrew Garfield, giving them good contrast and a, potentially, good on screen relationship. I'm not sure how many people watched the briefly lived show Secret Circle, but even there Dekker brought his A game. As far as feature films go, the Nightmare on Elm Street reboot has been his biggest shot and considering it didn't launch him into star status (what a shock, it was such a great film, har har) I think it's high time the kid get a shot at something big and substantial. Considering what styles are popular today, I've seen a lot of press photos of Dekker dressed pretty hip. If the production decided to modernize Harry, it wouldn't be a shock to find out he wore skinny jeans, V-necks, fedoras, and scarves. Not kidding. I know that seems like blasphemy but it's 2012 folks. We can't just throw Harry Osborn in a polo and khakis and say he's rich and have that be that. If he's going to be Peter Parker's best friend he needs a bit of a new attitude and a unique angle. Dekker definitely has those qualities and the talent to back it up. On a random note, he also looks like a young Willem Dafoe here. Not that that's worth anything anymore but I'm sure Willem Dafoe would be excited to know at least someone looks, sort of, like him.
