NBC debuted a four minute trailer for Sony Pictures' web-slinging reboot "The Amazing Spider-Man" during Monday night's premiere of Americas Got Talent. Yeah we are a little late, but better late than never right? You can watch it below; http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=16AwVWvjQhY Clearly this reboot of the iconic web-crawler seems far darker in tone than the previous Sam Raimi movies. Not only is the film returning to the beginning, it puts Peter on a quest to discover the fate of his parents. In a haunted voice over we are hear Peternow played by Andrew Garfieldspeaking of the hardship of the life hes chosen and the powerful enemies he has made. All of this gives the story a dark tint, almost worthy of the Batman film franchise. Though, the sarcastic Parker weve come to know and love from our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is alive and well when he reveals his weakness to a carjacker. The four minute trailer is our biggest individual look let at Marc Webb's (500 Days of Summer) take on Spider-Man but it doesn't really go above and beyond the other trailers that have been released. In some ways it is just a continuation and mixing together of what we have already been shown. Meanwhile Sony have also released a new video of director Webb discussing the "limitless inspiration" behind the character and his behind-the-scenes process in bringing the reboot to life. You can watch that below; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ap1to3NRsnw&feature=player_embedded The film promises to be visually spectacular, packed full of action and special effects and certainly seeks to do its preceding series justice. What remains to be seen and what cannot be known until July 3rd is if the story of "The Amazing Spider-Man" can live up to the hype that comes with every Spider-Man release.
