2. Bruno Delbonnel's Stunning Cinematography
Oh boy, this is one gorgeous looking movie. Curiously, this is the first time the Coens have ever shot on digital, and while some may miss the classical texture of their previous work on film, only real purists and enthusiasts are likely to appreciate much of a difference.
On its own terms, this is one of the year's best-shot films, full of impeccably-framed vistas that evoke the vibe of classic westerns of decades past.
The Tom Waits short in particular emphasises the lush, vibrant environment to eye-popping effect, and needless to say, Netflix's 4K HDR presentation ensures a home viewing can still feel deeply cinematic.
Thankfully, even when the script isn't up to much and the pacing sags, practically every fame of the film is an absolute joy to behold. Watch it on the biggest TV you can, because it sure deserves better than a 17-inch laptop or, gasp, your phone.
