The Batman: 10 Perfect Casting Choices For Robin
10. Abraham Attah
Abraham Attah is by far the youngest contender featured here, at the ripe old age of 17. Most entries here would age Robin up from his comic book age, one or two quite significantly and have him beginning in more of Nightwing mould.
Typically, a star of any significant name value or experience will be 25+, and it would be quite the risk for Warner Brothers to go for a debutant in the movie set to (hopefully) steady the ship of the DCEU. In Abraham Attah though, they do have a potential solution.
Attah has limited experience, granted, with only two features under his belt. Still though, it’s much more than the average 17-year-old. He’s even featured in another superhero movie too, as Peter Parker’s mathlete classmate in Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Even out of the classmates though, he has probably the smallest part, so it’s nothing to really boost his chances with Robin.
However, the other movie was his debut picture; Netflix’s Beasts Of No Nation. His performance as child soldier Agu was mature beyond his years; if not for the Academy’s distaste for streaming he could have been one of the youngest Oscar nominees ever.
