6. The Penguin (Confirmed)

After Danny DeVito in Batman Returns, and Robin Lord Taylor in Gotham, Matt Reeves is bringing a new Penguin to life with the help of Colin Farrell. Though not a name that any would have connected to the Batman villain before casting, the actor is an absolute dead ringer for the Telltale version of the character.

There has traditionally been something of a comic relief aspect to Oswald Cobblepot in the past, and while Colin Farrell would have no problem bringing this side of the character to The Batman, the actor is also well versed in bringing serious villains to life.

From the leaked set photos, and the fact that Farrell himself has described the script as dark and moving, it looks as though we may be getting the latter. A darker version of the character hopefully something reminiscent of Farrell's performance as Graves in Fantastic Beasts.

After his appearance as Bullseye in 2003's Daredevil, Farrell is the second of three actors confirmed to make the jump from Marvel for their DC debut. Hopefully The Batman is going to be much, much better than this though.
