7. It Won't Be Tied To The "Main DCEU"
The Rumour
As with Todd Phillips' Joker Origin movie, according to Batman-On-Film, The Batman will be set apart from the franchise formerly known as the DCEU as a sort of DC Elseworlds release.
That would presumably mean no Affleck, a whole new Rogues' Gallery and no need for everything to match the darker aesthetic.

It makes a lot of sense, but it's actually hard to tell what shape the "DCEU" is even goping to be in over the next couple of years as Warner Bros try to work out the best thing to do with it. There'll be some asset assessment, no doubt, but the idea of it being a definitive shared universe going forwards doesn't sound logical.
So yeah, it's likely, even if it's not massively revelatory. That doesn't mean it's not exciting though.
