Nolan has had so much online criticism for forgetting (or simply not bothering) to tie up the fate of Victor Szasz that Im almost convinced that hell address this somewhere in TDKR. In the comic-book world hes just another villain, albeit one of the darker ones; a serial murderer that cuts marks onto his body to tally his kills. But Nolan cast him in a role that saw him murder Joe Chill (who killed Thomas and Martha Wayne, remember) in Batman Begins to stop him testifying against Carmine Falcone. Essentially in Nolans world Szazs is the guy who stole Bruce Waynes revenge from him. So coming from a story perspective, as Szasz is now such a lynchpin element of the protagonist backstory Im feeling the need to know whats become of him.
