The Dark Knight Rises official homepage, you will no doubt realize that the next wave of viral marketing has kicked off! This new campaign will no doubt lead to the online release of the third and final trailer that will debut before US screenings of Marvel's 'The Avengers'. The new site design consists of several documents that detail the criminal charges against the Dark Knight himself. Of note is the fact that the city of Gotham is preparing to celebrate a new local holiday of sorts: Harvey Dent Day. Since Batman has been charged with the murder of the late district attorney, the mayor wants the memorial event for Dent to coincide with the arrest of Batman. If you arent already excited enough, the documents issued by the Gotham police department also mention that if any officer sees graffiti correlating with the return of the murderous vigilante, to take a location enabled photograph of it with a smart phone and tweet it to #TDKR07202012 or email it to TDKR07202012@gothampolicedepartment.com. This new campaign seems to resemble when fans had to take pictures of themselves in Joker makeup during The Dark Knight viral games. What the graffiti has to be is not yet known.
