The Dark Knight Rises viral marketing that started this morning has now revealed what its purpose will be. By going to the geographical locations mapped out on the film's official website's main page, fans will find a white chalk drawn bat style logo which they can photograph and tweet or email to #tdkr07202012 or tdkr07202012@gothampolicedepartment.com. As more fans check in with the graffiti photos they take, the website tdkr07202012.com will update with more stills from the next trailer. Remember if you are in one of the cities with the graffiti, turn on your location services on your smart phone camera. (None are in New Jersey dammit!) So far the new stills show Batman, Catwoman, and Bane in action as well as a very interesting look at what appears to be the tumbler flipping up and potentially morphing in "The Bat" flying vehicle. Marion Cotillard and Christian Bale appear to be kissing and Joseph Gordon-Levitt looks like he's sleeping. More are being added below so keep checking back; SEE BIGGER VERSION OF THE IMAGE HERE Of course this is all just a huge build up for the full length trailer to appear online as well as in front of Marvel's The Avenger's later this week. Perhaps this viral game will also get fans signed up for some swag a la The Dark Knight marketing. I want some new Gotham Times issues! I'm sure many fans would agree with me. We will just have to wait and see how this thing plays out. It is so wonderful to be back in the game!
