Defined more by quiet string pieces than booming orchestral swells, it nevertheless builds suspense while cementing the film's uneasy, discordant, and unpredictable mood.

Though the overall soundscape is generally quite minimalist, this only helps Bensi and Jurriaans' work stand out all the more - especially between the occasional, thunderous bursts of gunfire.

It's perhaps not the most natural pick to give your home cinema system a work-out, but the sinewy score absolutely hits the mark - and then some.
